California Weight Loss was developed by Mahfouz Michael, M.D. founder and President of Clinica Medica San Miguel clinics, the largest health provider in the Hispanic community in Los Angeles, CA. During the more than 35 years of treating patients for a variety of weight induced illnesses Dr. Michael became concerned about the growing epidemic of diabetes and high blood pressure, both caused by obesity. Dr. Michael assembled a group of professionals at California Weight Loss to address these problems.
Dr. Michael realized that to really attack obesity problems required a life-style change delivered through a multi-disciplined program including classes in nutrition, psychology of addiction, exercise client counseling supported by food specially developed to support the weight loss regimen. A major requirement of the food was that it not only be filling but taste delicious.
The team at California brought together all of the facets of Dr. Michael’s program into the most complete and effective weight loss program available today. Clients are encouraged to use all of the elements of the program for a safe, effective, heart-healthy program with no pills, no surgery and no injections.

1. Regular and consistent weekly visits.
2. Regular and consistent attendance in nutrition, lifestyle & exercise classes.
3. Full weekly California Weight Loss (CWL) food order.
In the event you do not achieve your predefined goals approved by a CWL counselor, CWL will refund the program fees, subject to the qualifications below.
1. Regular/consistent visits is defined as no more than 1 missed visit in a 10 week period as long as the client is on an active weight loss program. Active is defined as having at least 1 visit within a 3 week period. However, for the guarantee to be valid, no more than 1 missed visit is allowed every 10 weeks. If a client goes on vacation, the guarantee for the ‘current’ program is void. A new guarantee, with a new start date, will be issued when the client comes back from vacation.
2. Regular/consistent attendance is defined as at least 1 nutrition and 1 lifestyle class per week are attended by the client; no less than 2 exercise classes per week are attended by the client. The classes are approximately 1 hour long. Classes are offered at various hours throughout the week, and class times are published at the centers. Clients may also attend classes at any CWL center. The client must attend the class in its entirety.
3. A full weekly food order is defined as no less than 14 entrees and no less than 4 boxes of protein supplements are purchased by the client weekly.
Only the program fees will be refunded (i.e. class fees). The refund will be issued by CWL within 2 weeks of the refund request by the client. This guarantee is subject to modification on reasonable notice. CWL cannot and does not provide you with medical advice or diagnosis and any information provided by CWL or its counselors or staff should not be treated as such. Any recommendations by counselors, or material provided is not a substitute for consulting with your physician, medical evaluation or treatment, which is recommended before starting any weight loss program.

You must call customer service (562) 654-2520 to return any product and will be issued a Return Authorization Number. The customer service phone is provided on the invoice accompanying your order. When returning your order to the address listed on the return label, which is located at the bottom of the invoice, please be sure to return all items or partially used items that came with the order so that you will receive proper credit.
When shipping the order back to us via UPS or FedEx please be sure to obtain a tracking number and insure the package in case it is lost in transit. The tracking number will allow you trace the package in case it is lost and will permit you to file a claim with UPS or FedEx. If you ship the order back to us via the Post Office, be sure to request Delivery Confirmation and insure the package. Returns are accepted for a 45-day period after the shipping date to allow you a full 30 days with the product and allow ample time for shipping each way. The customer is responsible for the return shipping cost and the original order Shipping and Handling is not refundable. If an order is returned after 45 days or without a Return Authorization Number it is refused and returned to the customer. All returns are processed within 24 hours of receipt during normal business hours. Exchanges and Replacement orders are processed and shipped within 24 hours, during normal business hours. We reserve the right to exchange or replace with similar value product.
